What Really is God's Name?

WHAT REALLY IS GOD’S NAME?

“In thy NAME they shall cast out devils…speak with new tongues…take up serpents…lay hands on the sick…” Mark 16:17, 18

It is amazing how many names God has, from the one He called himself in scriptures, to the one saints call him, to the ones we call him, to all translations in all languages. In fact I once saw a publication, “300 names of God”. Which of these is God’s name?

If all the names are God’s, then scriptures say “in thy name” connoting a single name. The question then is which of the names carries the magic? Many say the name is Jesus, some say all sorts, but then it appears that different names work for different people. But God said in one name! so what is all these confusion?

A higher level of confusion is that we decide to call him Jesus, but today we say in the name of Jesus you sickness disappear and it goes, tomorrow we say same thing to another situation but we appear like mad men before the situation. These were the questions we stopped asking.

I am not about to proffer another name, but I will demystify what the name of God is. In general scope the name of God is God’s dimension per time, so the ancients saw God walk in a way and named him.

But as it concerns what Jesus said, the name of God is a revelation of the position or office of the risen Christ (Lord), far above principalities and powers, and if we believe and receive his victory we receive his name, His name is a revelation of who he is and the power of the finished works.

Until you understand this, whether you call him Jesus or Emmanuel, nothing would happen. But when you have a revelation of his finished works and not just an information, you would call him Emmanuel today, Yeshua tomorrow, Elohim the day after and have same results.

The name of God in this light is two things, First, Delegated Authority, i.e an ambassador. If you understand you are an ambassador then it means you carry the name, you may not even say “in the name of Jesus” for darkness to bow, “Go!” may be enough, but we call his name so people would know it’s by his power and give him alone glory.

The name of God also is a bunch of keys(Math 16:19). Sometimes you come by the blood, sometimes by kingdom principles, sometimes by praise, but all in the revelation of the finished works, but by different strategies. This is where many miss it. Sometimes we don’t lack power but strategy.

Now that we understand that the name is a revelation, we must contend for the full understanding of the name and dwell with the Spirit and the Word, so that our soul might be aligned to discharge the power. The difference between men of power and not, is revelation.

SELAH: Get dissatisfied with a powerless life, encounter the NAME

Shalom!
