Spiritual Paralysis

SPIRITUAL PARALYSIS
Tuesday, 12th January, 2016

“Remember the Lord that giveth thee power to get
 wealth…” (Deut. 8:18)

Men would rather embrace the God that gives wealth but not the God that gives the Power to make wealth. Lazy generations like Israel who seek to see the acts of God but are impatient to learn his ways. (Ps 103:7)

The kingdom of God is a system and this connotes the existence of a network of principles and laws; lights and greater lights, all revolving around the royalty of a deity; God. Man’s engaging of these principles is God’s formula for dominion in this realm.

Spiritual paralysis is to embrace the life of God and neglect his principles, to receive the gospel of salvation and neglect the gospel of the kingdom; to desire to see his acts but neglect his ways. A natural paralyzed man is alive but unable to navigate cosmos; so is a paralyzed Christian.

It is not sufficient to be informed. In the kingdom, revelation and not knowledge is power.
The ways of God may be taught, but it cannot be transferred into another individual except by personal revelation, or by the agency in a man’s speech called utterance.

Revelation is a deep intercourse with a dimension of God whether suddenly or with time that espouses that dimension of God to him in a manner more real than his senses. The ripple effect of same is conviction which leads to an action that command’s notable result.

Revelation may be through a strong knowing, a real vision, or an encounter. It is God’s created means of empowering his children. It is spiritual paralysis for a man to make the apogee of his quest for God the seeing of his ways, it is only children that think that way.

When children sing “Awesome God!”, sons sing, “Awesome God,” plus “Show me the mystery of your awesomeness” It is really unfortunate that our generation line up to get healed in great meetings and an infinitesimal percentage of the population considers doing same for others.

Why should I learn how to heal the sick when I can get healed in a great meeting? That exactly is the mindset of a paralyzed and childish Christian. The hallmark of childishness is the absence or avoidance of responsibilities. The church must contend for the revelation of the ways of God.

SELAH: You have seen his acts, but do you know him and his ways?
