The Lost Cause

THE LOST CAUSE

“For this CAUSE shall a man leave his father and mother, and be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh” (Eph 5:31) (read chapter)

Overwhelming is the statistics of failed marriages manifested in the form of heated homes, adulterous homes, divorce, among others. Purpose is a compass. When the purpose of a thing is unknown, temporal survival is possible, but accident and collapse is inevitable.

Countless are the dimensions of marital frustrations, but everything boils down to a cause. Scriptures say, for this cause shall marriage happen, for what cause? Meaning there is an actual cause, or reason why marriage must happen; outside that is a voyage to frustration.

Before you answer the “Cause” question, you must understand that marriage was God’s initiative and God’s design, meaning the jurisdiction (legal survival/existence) of marriage is God. Outside God, marriage is an artificial preemption.

The singular and absolute assuredness for a successful marriage is the planting of same in God. People think that the fact they married in Church, or a church person is a guarantee for a successful marriage, I believe there are too many proofs to show the failure of church marriages.

Just like every dimension of God, there are principles and laws for the operation of marriage. Man was meant to fall in love with God as the bride of God, and then study his/her relations with Him, how he was treated/ how she submitted to God as a necessity for progress, and then act out that reality in the physical world (spouse)

Marriage was designed to live/act out God’s love to man, demonstrating it between a man and a woman. This is why we don’t marry in heaven because we (the church, the bride) will be with our husband Christ Jesus and therefore there will be no need to act the love, or act the marriage.

Marriage is evangelism, in the similitude of Jesus’ words, “I see my father work and so I work” so we say, “I see my father love and so I love”, “I see him sacrifice and so I sacrifice” The best couples are those that best portray the fathers love and the church’s (bride’s) ideal character.

This is the reason why the family is considered as part of the Seven Mountains of the World.
(Media, Entertainment, Politics, Academics, Business, religion, family) It is from this very revelation that all the Christian laws of marriage are drafted, outside this foundation is dross

Many love God but they don’t understand that marriage essence is to act a movie called “the Christ and His Bride” Your marriage is a picture of your walk with God whether you knew this before or not. Now you know the foundation, you can draft out your marital parameters.

SELAH: Do it right, know the right cause!

Shalom!
